Scheherazade, Op. 35 by Rimsky-Korsakov. The Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by Eugene Ormandy. Violin solo by Alexander Hilsberg. Recorded October 31 and November 1, 1947 at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia. If you listen closely to the last 25 seconds of the 4th movement, you can hear a dog bark. A microphone had been placed in an adjacent hallway to pick up more reverb from Mr. Hilsberg's violin and it also picked up the dog. Transfer from the original Columbia 78 rpm set MM- 772 by Bob Varney.
